Become A Dealer
There are several criteria that must be met in order to become an Hot Solar authorized dealer.
First: We feel that in order to be successful in this industry, the prospective solar business owner must be able to service their customers. You must posses a certain skill level. We're here to help you gain that knowledge. What we do expect is that you have the basics to succeed. Examined on an individual basis and there are no absolutes, but it is suggested that the applicant have a background in or have a business associate that has a background in one of the following trades.
- Electronic technician or engineer.
- Electrician.
- Roofing contractor.
- General contractor.
- Solar heating contractor.
Second: We require that all applicants posses a valid business license as well as resale permit or obtain both within 30 days of their application.
Third: All applicants must operate from a physical address and possess a working telephone number, email address, fax machine and computer with an Internet connection. (A PO box is ok for mailing purposes but a physical address must be indicated on the the dealer application. Home based businesses are fine but you must make your physical address available to your customers.
